<p> DENEL LAND SYSTEMS</p><p>Notice No.: 440/05/16</p><p>(12 MONTHS CONTRACT) VACANCY – TECHNICAL PROCUREMENT CATEGORY SPECIALIST X6 (INTERNAL /EXTERNAL)</p><p>DLS is an Employment Equity employer who gives preference to suitable candidates who add to the diversity of the company.</p><p>DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain JOB LEVEL: 5 PURPOSE OF JOB Procure of items/services according to DLS Supply Chain and related policies, procedures and delegations and ensuring “on time” delivery and negotiating correct price and quality</p><p>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS</p><p>Policies and Procedures:  Executing the Supply Chain process of goods and services within generally accepted guidelines in terms of PFMA, BBBEE Codes of Good Practice and PPPFA and ensuring that the procurement policies and aims with regard to contractual exposure, appropriate skills and absolute integrity are adhered to.  Compliance to Supply Chain policies and procedures.  Planning of the procurement task as per system demand and according to the Supply Chain procedures, -task description and DLS delegations.  Assist in review, and maintain of Supply Chain policies and procedures.</p><p>B-BBEE  Drive transformation targets in respect of preferential procurement and deliver an effective and efficient service within Denel Land Systems.  Responsible to Identify, evaluation and development ED Suppliers.</p><p>Strategy:  Administer Risk and Mitigation Strategies.  Create negotiation strategies as and when required.  Support the execution of Supply Chain strategy.  Manage contracts on MRP system.</p><p>Human Capital:  Deliver excellent service to internal clients.</p><p>Markets and Orders:  Timeous negotiation, placement and management of contracts and orders.</p><p>Financial:  Evaluated the process continually in order to produce better techniques, cheaper materials and faster processes.  Responsible for delegation of 50k in personal capacity.  Manage to ensure that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities.  Cost reduction and process improvement is an ongoing requirement.  Impose penalties for late deliveries according to DLS Policies and Procedures. General Management  Engineering change inputs and implementation.  Revise the Procurement data basis as and when needed.  Quality management – Implement and manage ISO 9001; 2000.  Manage the process which includes the planning of procurement.  General office management and administration.</p><p>CRITICAL SKILLS  Excellent negotiation and communication skills.  Good manufacturing and technical knowledge and skills.  Excellent MRP knowledge: MRP II, configuration management, material management.  Specific product knowledge in area as operating in.  Proven contract execution skills.  Thorough working knowledge of Qmuzik.  Organisational & planning skills.  Detail orientated yet flexible.  Display a passion for process and procedures.  Experience of contributing to business strategy  Computer skills.  Specific financial knowledge.  Cost estimating experience.  Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.  Ability to work under pressure and keep to target dates.  High integrity personality with sense of urgency  Ability function independently as well as in a team.
