PO Box 46 Monticello, Georgia 31064 706-468-6303 Fax: 706-468-2205 Email: [email protected]</p><p>Katie Bonita Jolley Voyles, age 85, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.</p><p>Nita Voyles was born in Geraldine, Alabama to the late Thara Thomas Jolley and Ivella Smith Jolley. She lived in Riverdale, Georgia for a few years before making her home in Monticello fifty years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, John Edward Voyles in 2012.</p><p>Nita Voyles was a member of the Monticello Baptist Church. She loved to sew and cook; and worked in the cafeteria at Piedmont Academy for a number of years. She worked on the family farm and the cows were her treasure. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.</p><p>She is survived by her sons, Blake Edward (Kim) Voyles of Douglas, Dwight Alan (Jennie) Voyles of Douglasville and Clint Wade (Tina) Voyles of Monticello; grandchildren, C. J. Voyles, Kristen Voyles, Travis Voyles, Wade Voyles, Lauren Voyles and Kelsey Voyles; great grandchildren, Johnathan Voyles, Jade Voyles, Hunter Voyles, Easton Voyles and Taylor Voyles; and sisters, Peggy Stevens of Marietta, JoAnn Oswald of West Palm Beach, Florida and Bobbie Brown of Conyers.</p><p>Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the Monticello Baptist Church. A private family interment will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 4, 2017, at Williams Payne Cemetery. Rev. David Artessa and Dr. Robert Whitmire will officiate.</p><p>The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M., Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Monticello Baptist Church, prior to the service.</p><p>The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Monticello Baptist Church 334 W. Greene Street Monticello, Georgia 31064.</p><p>Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.</p>
