<p>SOUTHEND ON SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL</p><p>Southend BESD College</p><p>JOB PROFILE JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>Job Title Attendance Officer </p><p>Head of Inclusion Reports To Level Level 5 37 hours per week - Term Time + 2 weeks Support the Head of Inclusion to ensure cross college Main Purpose attendance systems are effective in motivating educational of the Job engagement at all levels. To administer the electronic attendance system and to provide school attendance and punctuality data. Support the on-going review and implementation of a robust Key cross college attendance policy. Responsibilities Monitor the First Day Calling parents system Support the effective use of time specific access to Child and Family Intervention Team towards supporting and moving forward complex cases. Liaise with SLT and Form Tutors about concerns they may have about poor attendance and punctuality and working with the Head of Inclusion to implement support plans that prevent underachievement. Make and maintain contacts with parents/carers of students causing concern and work together to put strategies into place to encourage students to improve attendance and punctuality. Produce attendance reports and weekly summaries for the SLT and tutors, and ensure that absences are follow up on a weekly basis. Monitor the rewards system for attendance Administer all the necessary ICT administration, maintenance and report generation of the electronic attendance system. To attend parents evenings to support and promote excellent student attendance and punctuality. To work in partnership with all agencies to ensure multi- agency plans in place around attendance vulnerable pupils.</p><p>Other Duties To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities.
