<p>SOM 464 R. Gunther Fall 2009</p><p>NORTHCUTT BIKES: THE FORECASTING PROBLEM</p><p>Please read the Northcutt Bikes case on pages 251 through 253 of the text. This case is at the end of the forecasting chapter (8) and involves several aspects of forecasting, inventory management, and general operations management.</p><p>Required: Your assignment as a consulting team is to assist Jan Northcutt. You are expected to write a report to her. (The suggested length of your report is approximately ten to twelve pages.) The report should include an analysis of the problems facing Northcutt Bikes along with suggested remedies. In your report include answers to the six questions at the end of the case.</p><p>Your written report is due Monday, November 23. Oral reports are required if your team did not do one for the previous case. These are scheduled for Monday, November 23.</p>
