You will need 5 different colors of paper. Cut each set of money into bills. Count out enough bills for each job title (i.e. cut out 27 $ones, 18 $fives, etc.) Place the total amount of currency in the envelope and mark the envelope as one of the four job titles, either Retail/Fast Food, Teacher/Manager, Office/General Worker, or Physician. Be sure to list the hourly, yearly and month gross on the envelope. The amount of money in the envelope should match the total Monthly Gross.</p><p>Note: Be sure to give each student a copy of the Envelope Monthly Budget Game so that they can each record their group’s results and also have the sheet to take home to review with their parents.</p><p>Adapted from the Envelope Game by Linda Hawkins of the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office It’s Now or Later! - Handout 1</p><p>GRADE 6 LESSON 4</p><p>Instructor Resource # 1 - Basket Chances Make a copy of this sheet and cut each chance into strips. Fold the strips and place them in a basket or envelope so that students can draw a chance for their group. These chances may be good or bad.
