<p> SAMPLE: Post-Event Release</p><p>Seventh Annual Children’s Golf Classic Raises $5.5 Million for Seattle Children’s Hospital</p><p>SEATTLE: Month 0, 0000 – The Friends of Costco Guild, led by Jan Sinegal and Lynn Winters, raised $5.5 million for Seattle Children’s Hospital at the seventh annual Children’s Golf Classic held Aug. 19 through 21. </p><p>The three-day event included a dinner and auction at Safeco Field for 1,000 participants. The top auction item, raising $80,000, included a jet airplane ride to California with Costco executives Jim Sinegal and Jeff Brotman, a tour of Costco, a day of golf, and dinner before flying home. Jay Leno entertained the crowd and auctioned off a Harley Davidson 2007 Softail motorcycle. Leno also autographed the gas tank and helmet for the winning bidder, Dan Huish. </p><p>The Friends of Costco Guild hosted more than 860 golfers at six golf courses: Coal Creek and China Creek at The Golf Club at Newcastle, The Plateau Club, Inglewood Golf Club, The Golf Club at Echo Falls and Washington National Golf Club. The winner of the final putting contest received a weekend trip to Napa Valley compliments of the E&J Gallo Winery. The Golf Classic concluded with a reception and dinner at The Golf Club at Newcastle. </p><p>“We are truly blessed. The generosity of our guests is absolutely amazing. The support of all of our sponsors and the dedication of all our volunteers is what makes this event such a success,” said Jan Sinegal. “We feel fortunate to be able to make this large contribution to Children’s Hospital.”</p><p>The Friends of Costco Guild recognized the Classic Circle of Care Sponsors, Costco Wholesale, Allied Marketing, Huish Detergents, General Mills, Gold Kist, Swift & Company and the Sinegal Family Foundation; and the title sponsors, Comprehensive Payment Recovery Services, Con Agra Foods, Diageo, Nice-Pak, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Tyson and Unilever. </p><p>About the Seattle Children’s Hospital Guild Association</p><p>Seattle Children’s Hospital Guild Association is the largest all-volunteer fundraising network for any hospital in the country, serving as the umbrella non-profit organization for nearly 7,000 women, men and teens and 500 groups of friends, families, co-workers and community members.
