<p> Prostitution as an Occupation ?</p><p>Will the decriminalization of prostitution benefit Canada's Society ? Strong arguments are presented on both sides concerning the impact, but the evidence will show it is not viable for a government to maintain, and oversee this high risk “profession”. While many factors inmfluence the topic, the most pressing will be discussed. Factors such as effect of the decriminalization and legalization of prostitution in other countries, social decay (psychological damage, moral decay ;the subsequent growth of illegal/gang activity,and the affect on health in general), and finally a comparison of prostitution to other professions with special consideration to the benefits these professions provide the society. By analyzing the factors it will be exemplified that the decriminalization of prostitution will directly affect society and hinder growth.</p><p>Prostitution whether people acknowledge it or not does affect society, it can either increase expenditure or spread disease, each of these outcomes has far reaching effects, socially and politically, therefore, while it is a minor, careful consideration should be given in making a wise decision.</p><p>This topic was chosen because while reading up on the discussions, some arguments seemed slightly innacurate or extremely biased. It was therefore decided that research should be done to assist with identifying misrepresentations and exaggerations of the issues.
