He has extensive experience in emergency service delivery, disaster field response, disaster call-center support, and education program management. These experiences provide Mr. Long with a unique perspective around the cumulative impact of stressful situations on a disaster workforce.</p><p>Mr. Long is credentialed as a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Advanced through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation standards, and is actively engaged in advancements towards activities and programs to assist with managing personal stress and promoting a healthy work-life balance.</p><p>Mr. Long will be presenting at the Higher Education Conference on “Critical Incident Stress Management (CIMS): A Program to Address Issues of Secondary Traumatization among Disaster Workers and Managing Compassion Fatigue.”</p><p>June 6, 2011</p>
