<p>Lead-Deadwood Elementary School K-5 New Student Registration: K-5 registration in Deadwood Office. Parents and students should come up the main stairs at the front of the building and into the office. Registration dates are August 17-26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Required information includes immunization records, certified birth certificate and Social Security number for all new students. Prospective Kindergarteners must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2016. Address/phone number of school the student previously attended and a copy of last year’s report card should be provided for students registering in grades 1-5.</p><p>OPEN HOUSE August 30. For all students K -5, from 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Parents/students invited to meet their teachers.</p><p>First Day of School is August 31, 2016. School begins at 8:10 and dismisses at 3: 10 p.m. Floors and classrooms will be marked.</p><p>Kindergarten Student Hours: Aug. 31-Sept. 2, 8:10 to 11:00 a.m.; Sept. 6-9, 8:10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sept 12 begins full day 8:10 a.m. to 3:10-p.m.</p><p>School Hours Children should not be on the school grounds before 7:45 a.m. unless they arrive on an early bus. No playground supervision is provided before 7:45 a.m. Students arriving early by special request of a teacher will report directly to the teacher for reading or study. Normal school hours will be from 8:10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. </p>
