<p> Summer Geriatric Institute </p><p>June 23 – 24, 2016 │ Oklahoma City</p><p>Call for Presentations</p><p>Join the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI) as we “Rethink Aging,” the theme for the 2016 Summer Geriatric Institute! This year’s event will explore aging today, challenge preconceived notions about aging, and discover innovations in senior care. Those involved in gerontology or geriatric healthcare or education are welcome to submit an abstract to OHAI for consideration. </p><p>The Conference seeks to educate its audience and not promote any specific products. Exhibit space is available for all promotional activity. Only presentations that are product-neutral and gerontological or geriatric related will be considered. Presentation selections will be made based upon desired topics, flow of content, educational value and understanding of the content. </p><p>Proposals will be accepted for:  Presentations - Team or individual proposals accepted. Sessions will run 60 minutes.  Panels - Panel discussions will be considered. Submissions should be organized and submitted as a group by a panel coordinator.  Hands-on Labs - Sessions featuring real world scenarios and advanced techniques will be accepted. Experiential simulations or interactive proposals are examples for this category. </p><p>What Types of Professionals Attend the Conference? </p><p> Nursing  Palliative Care  Allied Health  Social Work  Mental Health  Health Profession Students  Pharmacy  Long Term Supports and Services  Medical (Home Health) </p><p>Speaker Benefits: Speakers will receive the following: a complimentary pass to the conference with access to all sessions, conference materials, and conference meals on the day of their presentation. Speakers will also be featured in the conference publication and on OHAI’s web site.
