<p>2017年12月12日</p><p>The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is pleased to announce a call for nominations for participation in the Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute (WLDI). As an element of our Leadership Pathways program nominations for this important leadership activity are open to all qualified employees of the college.</p><p>WLDI Selection Criteria  Minimum of master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a graduate program.  Recommendation and commitment by the District  Management experience preferred  Full-time WTCS employment recommended  Decided career goal  Prior advanced leadership experience  The WTCS goal of increasing women and minority representation will be considered.</p><p>MATC Selection Criteria  Nomination requires self, peer and supervisor support (all 3)  Demonstrated interest in Leadership skills  Active participation in College Wide committees, projects and tasks  Application requires:  WLDI Application  1 page statement of goals  Completed Professional Growth Plan indicating desire to increase Leadership skills and experience</p><p>Nomination Process: Deadline: February 24, 2014 Send application materials to CETL. (Patrick Barlow). Include:  Completed and signed WLDI application form. (Attached)  Statements of nomination from peers and supervisor.  1 page statement of goals relative to WLDI participation, demonstration of interest in leadership and active participation in college-wide committees, projects and tasks.</p><p>Inclusive Dates of Training (All training sessions will be held in Madison, WI)</p><p>1  Week One June 9-13, 2014 conducted by the Chair Academy  Interim Session March 11-13, 2015 facilitated by WLDI Coordinator  Week Two June 8-12, 2015 conducted by the Chair Academy </p><p>The Institute The Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute (WLDI) is designed to prepare future leaders for the Wisconsin Technical College System. WLDI was initiated by the Wisconsin Technical College Board, and the Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute Coordinating Team. These organizations also provide direction to all Institute activities. The Institute will provide participants an opportunity to gain knowledge and develop attributes and abilities essential to upper-level leadership roles. Emphasis will be placed upon the inclusion of women and minorities. WLDI has joint certification through the WTCS and the Chair Academy which has national and international recognition for leadership training. Participants may receive up to six graduate credits through the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the spring and summer terms. Some additional readings and assignments may be involved.</p><p>Institute Format Participants in the one-year institute are involved in:  An introductory week-long leadership development session conducted by faculty of the Chair Academy, Mesa, Arizona.  The development and implementation of an Individualized Professional Development Plan (IPDP) and the development of a personal journal and portfolio.  A two-semester practicum under the guidance of a college administrator (mentor).  An intermediate three-day leadership development session conducted by WTCS administrators and selected staff.  A concluding week-long leadership development session conducted by faculty of the Chair Academy, Mesa, Arizona, and a career portfolio.</p><p>WLDI Expenses: The total cost of participation in WLDI is split 50-50% between CETL and the department or unit budget of the employee’s current position.</p><p>Attachments: WLDI Fact Sheet, District Application Form, Brochure (PDF) </p><p>2</p>
