<p> Bioinformatics Workshop</p><p>WHAT IS: Bioinformatics is a Inter disciplinary science that uses computer programing, mathematics, engineering and biological science to study and process biological data. Some of that data is DNA, RNA and protein sequences. Useful for all biology majors and those interested in an introduction to bioinformatics.</p><p>Workshop: This workshop will concentrate on population genetics and phylogenetics, introducing students to a variety of methods for uncovering population structure and quantifying genetic variation. </p><p>Presenter: Emily Lescak, former SUNY Cobleskill alumna who is a Ph.D. candidate in fisheries through the University of Fairbanks.
