Tumbling Skills- Rolling Movements, Jumping, Landing </p><p>Standard 3: Participates regularly in physical activity. Scheduled Physical Education Classes </p><p>Standard 4: Achieves and maintains a health-enhancing level of physical fitness. 90 Minutes Weekly of Physical Education </p><p>Standard 5: Demonstrate knowledge of psychological and sociological concepts, principles, and strategies as they apply to learning and performance of physical activity. Understand and Apply Directions and Cues </p><p>Standard 6: Values physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and/or social interaction. Understand and Use Tumbling Skills for lifelong fitness goals. </p><p>Equipment Needed MATS SPOTTERS Lesson Content Warm-up & Intro Focus Routines Range of Motion-Stability Quick Movements, Strength Flexibility Form Run, Coordination </p><p>Fitness Activity ANIMAL CRAWLS MOTOR SKILL RELAYS 1 MINUTE WORKOUT (PUSH-UPS, CRUNCHES)</p><p>Game Activity TUMBLING Student Progress and Assessment At the end of the lesson, each student in the class should build toward advancing tumbling skills Students should feel confident in their spotting and movement techniques. Students should be working together to achieve success. Students should be excited to learn activities similar to tumbling. </p>
