<p> 122-C Gordon Commercial Drive LaGrange, GA 30240 706-845-4045 706-845-4367 Fax www.pathwayscsb.org Press Release</p><p>Pathways Center to Develop ACT Team “Here We Grow Again” LaGrange, GA August 8, 2012: Pathways Center successfully submitted a proposal to the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to implement a new ACT team serving Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether and Troup Counties.</p><p>Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a specialized evidence based practice that provides a comprehensive system of care and treatment for individuals who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness and in which other traditional treatment modalities have failed. </p><p>Recruitment for this program will begin immediately and will include 10-12 new positions. </p><p>Jade Benefield, CEO, commented, “We are excited about this opportunity. It fits with the agency’s vision for increased growth by creating the opportunity to serve more individuals and allows us to contribute to additional community based services.” </p><p>Kay Hill, Deputy Director will lead the project through the initial developmental phase.
