<p>Debbie Seaton (Malicoat) Haines CSUF 1984</p><p>Briefly tell about your family history: My name is Debbie Haines I was born in Bakersfield. I was the 2nd of 6 children born to Donna & Leonard. I was the 2nd to go to college in my family, and the 1st nurse in my family. I graduated from FSC/CSUF in 1984. I obtained my RN/ Public Health Degree/certificate. I married twice and am currently divorced I have 2 children Jeremy 16 and Matthew 9. I worked at Fresno Community Hospital as an RN from 1982- Present, 25 years</p><p>Short Nursing BIO: Tell us about your Nursing career since graduation and further education you may have received: Once I graduated and passed the boards, I continued to work at Fresno Community Hospital on the OB floor and have been there ever since. I worked full time until 2001 then went part time..</p><p>List any student nurse experiences you may remember and any faculty: Mrs. Stitch was one of my teachers she was tough but good I was in a severe auto accident coming back from Kings View Mental Hospital. Another student was driving. I was thrown out of the car and rolled over by it. Everything was punctured and fractured. I made it through, thoracotomy, laporotomy , chest tubes 25 pts of blood, punctured lung, punctured spleen, broken ribs fractured clavicle, fractured pelvis, subdural hematoma and concussions. It took me 5 times to pass the boards; I had short term memory loss and had to take off school for a while. </p><p>How do you feel about nursing then and now, and in the future? I always wanted to be in OB and have been there for 25 years</p>
