<p> HERCULES OFFSHORE, INC. JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>Date: 7/1/2009 Position: Site Assessment Engineer Business Unit: Operations - Drilling FLSA: Exempt Location: Houston, Texas Reports To: Marine Operations Manager</p><p>Job Summary:</p><p>Performs the initial evaluation of the suitability of proposed operating locations for the offshore drilling units in the Hercules fleet; Prepares MMS data sheets for rig move operations; Assists in the warranty approval process by preparing setup drawings of rigs on proposed operating locations and by providing recommendations to accompany the drawings; Maintains historical records and files for all proposed and historical operating locations and for all rig moves</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><p> Compiles data for proposed operating locations for the offshore rigs in the Hercules fleet  Evaluates the suitability of proposed operating locations for the placement of Hercules rigs on the locations  Prepares rig-specific setup drawings for the placement of rigs on proposed operating locations  Prepares MMS location data sheets for operating locations  Maintains historical data files for all operating locations  Maintains rig move report files for all rigs in the Hercules fleet  Assigns rig move supervisors to rig move operations in the absence of the marine operations manager</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p> High School Diploma  Associate degree or vocational school training and certificate in AutoCad and 5 years of AutoCad industrial layout and drawing experience  Strong knowledge of industrial blueprints and construction drawings  Strong knowledge of Excel  Strong knowledge of Access  Working knowledge of USCG, ABS, and MMS rules, regulations, and guidelines  Familiar with offshore rig move operations and procedures  Good written and oral communication skills</p><p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p><p> Occasionally responsible for assigning activities to other employees</p><p>Page 1 of 2 HERCULES OFFSHORE, INC.
