If you have any questions about the application, please email the Nevada Department of Transportation, subject line “WASHTO Scholarship” at: [email protected] </p><p>PURPOSE: To provide a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who is seeking education and career opportunities in a transportation-related field.</p><p>CRITERIA: The applicant must: 1. Be a United States citizen or a legal resident. 2. Be enrolled in an accredited college or university, be pursuing a degree in an area to benefit transportation and have a relationship with the Nevada Department of Transportation. 3. Be a junior or senior level student as defined through credit hours at the college or university. 4. Have an enrollment status equal to at least a half-time (6 credit hours) student. 5. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.</p><p>APPLICATION PROCESS: The applicant must submit the following items: 1. The completed application form. 2. A one-page letter of application. 3. A two-page resume. 4. Two teacher recommendation letters. 5. A copy of the applicant's most recent transcript.</p><p>DEADLINE for application is 5:00 p.m., August 26, 2016.
