The minutes of the 27 th Meeting was unanimously approved</p><p>2. The resigning secretary (Dr Lise Tarnow) presented her last report</p><p>Membership status</p><p> Total active members: 173 coming from 21 countries (5 outside Europe) </p><p> 19 members did not attend the last three meetings and therefore lost their membership. </p><p> New membership was gained by 22 members this year.</p><p>The 2015 meeting in Gentofte, Denmark  The officers and the ordinary members thanked Prof Rossing and Dr Tarnow, local organizors, for the successful meeting. </p><p> This year the number of attendees was 134 (80 members and invited speakers, 35 backseaters, 19 from the Steno foundation). </p><p>Abstract selection: 52 abstract were submitted and 39 were selected for presentation (29 oral, 10 posters, approximately like last year in London).</p><p>The prizes winners for the best communications were Dr. Sanna Lehtonen (Finland) and Dr Richard Oram (Canada)</p><p>Next EDNSG meetings:</p><p>2016 Pisa, Italy</p><p>2017 Helsinki, Finland</p><p>2018 To be defined</p><p>3. President’s report</p><p>Prof Peter Rossing thanked all the participants for the high attendance and the sponsors for their generous and unconditioned support.</p><p>Ruth Østerby Lecture </p><p> This year it has been delivered by Prof Robert Nelson, Phoenix, USA.</p><p> Dr Nelson is a NIH employee, therefore he cannot receive the honorarium related to this prestigious award. </p><p> In 2016 the Ruth Østerby Lecture will be delivered by Dr Carol Forsblom, Helsinki, FL.</p><p> Call for nominations for 2017 Ruth Østerby Prize was encouraged to be send to the secretary</p><p>Resigning secretary</p><p>Prof. Rossing and all the participants deeply thanked Prof Lise Tarnow for her invaluable contribution as secretary of the EDNSG for the past three years. The new secretary Dr Anna Solini was introduced. </p><p>4. Treasurer’s report</p><p>The result of the past year was a positive balance of 27,520.96 Euro A grant of 3000 Euro/year for 2014-2016 by Novo-Nordisk to support the next Ruth Østerby prizes was confirmed. </p><p>5. Next year meeting</p><p>Dr Anna Solini, also on behalf of Dr Giuseppe Penno, invited all to participate in the next meeting in Pisa, scheduled for May 20-21, 2016.</p><p>The deadline for the abstract submission is January 11th, 2016</p><p>6.
