<p>Job Posting 3 Tutor – Mathematics & Science Part-time, Purchase of Service Agreement </p><p>Rexdale Community Health Centre (RCHC) is a non-profit, multi-service, community-based organization that serves communities in Rexdale and North-West Etobicoke. Operating out of five locations, RCHC offers core services that include; primary health care, health promotion, community development programs, Pathways to Education and Diabetes Education Centre. The primary goal of the Pathways to Education program is to address the social determinants of health by providing programs and services to enhance the educational and employment success of youth in the Jamestown community. We work with high-school students to keep them in school, improve their academic success and help them move on to post-secondary education. We are currently seeking 3 experienced Tutors with Mathematics and Science expertise.</p><p>Responsibilities: </p><p> Provide help and guidance to students in an after school program in the Rexdale area on the subjects of: o Mathematics and Science: Advanced Functions, Data Management, Calculus, Vectors, Statistics Physics, Chemistry and Biology</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p> Graduates or Senior students in the faculties of Sciences, Engineering, Nursing Humanities from above mentioned disciplines  Teaching / tutoring experience required  Knowledge of Ontario curriculum is a definite asset  Students enrolling in OISE can apply  Retired professionals with experience of the above mentioned subjects  The ability to effectively work: o With youth facing a variety of challenges throughout their years in high school o Flexible hours built around after-school access for students, school/program site visits and evening office hours with occasional weekend hours o With community partners and youth agencies on mentoring opportunities o Within the values, goals, mission and policies of the Rexdale Community Health Centre and the Pathways to Education program.</p><p>Part-Time Rate: $20 per hour Hours per week: Up to 14 per week (flexible hours) Starting date: ASAP Status: Non-unionized position, Purchase of Service Agreement</p><p>Please apply in confidence to: Liberty Hacala Human Resources Generalist [email protected]</p><p>Please quote ‘Tutor’ in subject line.
