<p>ZIE REGISTRATION INFORMATION-FURTHER EXPLAINED 1. Upgrade from ZIE Member Grade to Fellow For one to be admitted as a Fellow (FZweIE) s/he needs to:  Be a ZIE ‘Member’ ( MZweIE) in good standing,</p><p> Have minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience,</p><p> Have 5 years of superior responsibility in design, administration, academic teaching, engineering research or related professional engineering work,</p><p> Have 3 Corporate Member sponsors. Two of whom must be ZIE Fellow,</p><p> Submit a detailed CV/resume, plus a recent passport size photo,</p><p> Submit a duly completed and signed M1 Form, and</p><p> $120.00 processing fee is payable </p><p>NB: A fellow applicant, being a ZIE Corporate Member in good standing, is normally not subjected to a formal interview. A membership committee made up of at least 3 Fellow members would suffice to assess the submitted documentation and recommend to the ZIE Board for conferment of Fellow status, through the Education, Qualifications and Manpower Sub- Committee. 2. Corporate Member Registered with a Recognized Engineering Institution If you are a Member registered with a regional or international engineering institution that is recognised by the ZIE, you may be admitted as a Corporate Member of the Institution. You need to complete the ZIE M1 Form and write a detailed CV outlining your training and engineering experience. Your application has to be supported by 3 ZIE Corporate Members.US$80.00 registration fee is payable upon submission of the forenamed documents, together with certified copies of professional membership certificate. 3. ZIE Technician Member An engineering diploma holder with more than two years post college engineering experience is admitted as a Technician Member of the Institution. One needs to complete the attached M1 Form, write report on training and experience plus project report. The application has to be supported by 3 ZIE Corporate Members. US$80.00 processing fee is payable upon submission of the application. After admission, annual subscription fee of US$144.</p><p>4. Graduate Member</p><p>Return the ZIE Graduate Form, duly completed. Registration fee of US$20.00 for a ZIE Student or US$40.00 for a non-student member is payable, together with at least US$60.00.00 (covering subscriptions for the 6 subsequent months). Please ensure that your application is supported by a ZIE Corporate Member (Sponsor). 5. Graduate Technician Return the ZIE Graduate Technician Form, duly completed. Registration fee of US$40.00 is payable, together with at least US$24.00.00 (covering subscriptions for the 3 subsequent months). Please ensure that your application is supported by a ZIE Corporate Member (Sponsor). 6. ZIE Student Member Return the ZIE Student Form to ZIE duly completed together the US$10.00 registration fee. The fee covers the duration of your study. Upon completion of your studies you will then upgrade your status to Graduate Member (GZweIE) upon payment of US$20.00 and associated subscriptions.</p><p>7. Temporary Registration of Foreign Engineering Professionals with ZIE and ECZ Any person practising engineering work or wishing to do the same in Zimbabwe is required by the law (Engineering Council Act CAP27:22, SI 161 of 2010 and SI 153 of 2012) to register with the ECZ (Engineering Council of Zimbabwe). Application thereof has to be made through a registered constituent body i.e. ZIE. To become a ZIE Member US$200.00 non-refundable processing fee is payable plus an annual fee of US$400.00 (Pr.Eng.) and US$300.00 (Professional Engineering Technician). On membership application, submit:  Duly completed Form (Temporary)</p><p> Passport Size photo x 2 </p><p> Detailed CV</p><p> Original certified copies of Professional Certificates, and Associated Transcripts ‘ in English’</p><p> Original certified copy of certificate of registration from one’s country’s engineering institution,</p><p> Evidence of legal entry into the country i.e. certified copy of passport,</p><p> Letter from Employer detailing project upon which one is coming to undertake and evidence of a resident understudy</p><p> Company’ Certificate of Incorporation /ZIA Certificate NB: Qualification’s genuiness to be checked by the Secretariat, with the Institution having the right to call for an interview.
