Hydrazine, N2H4, is a weak -6 base with Kb = 1.7 x 10 . + + N2H5 + H2O  N2H4 + H3O Ka = Kw/Kb = 1.0 x 10-14 / 1.7 x 10-6 = 5.9 x 10-7 + Ka = [H+][ N2H4] /[ N2H5 ] Using an ICE table and assuming that x is very small will yield the relationship: + 2 Ka [ N2H5 ] = x x = (5.9 x 10-7 * 0.20)1/2 = 3.4 x 10-5 = [H+] pH = -log(x) = 4.46</p><p>2. A buffer solution contains 0.10 mol of acetic acid and 0.13 mol of sodium acetate in 1.00 L.
