Please RSVP one week in advance of your intention to attend by email to [email protected].</p><p>The Significance of the Human Body in Venue: Jesuit College of Spirituality, </p><p>Ignatian Spirituality and Contemporary 175 Royal Parade, Parkville Moral Theology (Seminar 1)</p><p>This session will explore the relationship between Spirituality and Morality specifically viewed through the lens of the human body.</p><p>St Ignatius has a positive regard of the human body especially noted in the instructions of making the Spiritual Exercises. This trend in Ignatian spirituality can support our emphasis on embodiment in contemporary moral theology.</p><p>Date: Thursday 27 July 2017</p><p>Time: 6.00pm to 8.00pm</p><p>Venue: Jesuit College of Spirituality, </p><p>175 Royal Parade, Parkville</p><p>The Primacy of Love in Moral Theology (Seminar 2)</p><p>Within Moral Theology charity-love has been emphasised by Christian writers and ethicists. This theme is strongly reemphasised in Vatican II noting that the Christian vocation is to bring forth the fruit of charity in the world (Optatam totius, 16, 1965). This session will explore how love has been stressed in moral theology, Vatican II and beyond.</p><p>Date: Saturday 23 September 2017</p><p>Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm The Spiritual Exercises and the Formation of Christian Conscience (Seminar 3)</p><p>Conscience is the basic human faculty for living a Christian moral life.
