<p> DDA Poultry Photo Contest “Happy and Healthy Chickens”</p><p>The contest is open to all Delaware residents, within the age categories: 5-7 years old; 8-10 years old; 11-14 years old; 15-21 years old; 22 years old and above. To be eligible, photographs must have been taken in Delaware. Submission Guidelines: 1. Participants may submit a maximum of three (3) photo entries via email to [email protected]. Submitted images must be in color and should be a minimum resolution of 300 dpi when blown up to 8” x 10”. Files should be in a .jpg or .jpeg format and between 4-8 MB per file. Larger files will be considered, but smaller files will not. 2. Landscape orientation is preferred. Portrait-oriented photos, if selected, may be cropped by DDA for presentation. 3. The photos should accurately reflect the subject matter. Normal processing of RAW image files, minimal cropping and minor adjustments to color and contrast are acceptable. HDR and focus stacking are permitted as long as manipulation is disclosed upon entry. Nothing should be added to the image, or aside from dust spots, taken away. 4. Photos must be the work of the person submitting (unless a parent or other responsible adult is submitting for a minor). The entrant must hold all rights to the photograph and must not infringe on the rights of any other person. The photographer retains ownership of all submitted images. By submitting your photos, you are granting DDA the right to reproduce, display or publish the photos that contain their likeness in any manner and without compensation. 5. Please submit appropriate images only. Inappropriate entries will not be considered. 6. Submission Deadline: Friday, June 24, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Entry form must be submitted. Judging: A judging panel comprised of DDA staff and poultry professionals will be looking for photos that best portray the contest theme, “Happy and Healthy Chickens.” Judges will also be looking at technical criteria including resolution, clarity, and composition. Winners: Winning photographers of each category will receive a poultry-related prize pack and will have their photograph published on DDA social media sites as part of our #FarmFriday. The overall winner will be selected for publication in the 2017 DDA calendar.
