<p>VIN: 2FMDK4GC9ABA68232 Year: 2010 Make: FORD Model: Edge Number of Open Recalls: 1</p><p>NHTSA Recall Number: 15V712 Recall Date: October 26, 2015 Manufacturer Recall Number: 15S31</p><p>SUMMARY: VEHICLES THAT ARE OPERATED IN HIGH-CORROSION ENVIRONMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH LONG-TERM EXPOSURE TO ROAD SALT MAY EXPERIENCE CORROSION UNDERNEATH THE FUEL TANK MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT BRACKETS AT THE WELD SEAM THAT MAY CAUSE A SMALL HOLE TO FORM IN THE FUEL TANK RESULTING IN A FUEL VAPOR LEAK OR LIQUID FUEL LEAK. </p><p>SAFETY RISK: A FUEL LEAK IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD POTENTIALLY RESULT IN A FIRE. </p><p>REMEDY: OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE(S) TO A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALER TO HAVE THE FUEL TANK INSPECTED FOR CORROSION AND REPAIRED OR REPLACED, AS NECESSARY. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO OWNERS FOR THIS SERVICE. FORD HAS APPROVED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM FOR VEHICLES IN NON- CORROSION AREAS TO ADDRESS POTENTIAL CUSTOMER CONCERNS.
