Notes from the January 4, 2004 Meeting and Other News

Notes from the January 9, 2005 Meeting and Other News

These notes are intended to be distributed to all active and auxiliary members. Please distribute copies to your Praesidium and Council members.

Allocutio Fr. Maher gave the Allocutio. This year our Handbook readings are focused on the Eucharist. Mary standing at the foot of the cross is a symbol of our participating in the Eucharist. It joins us to the Father. Obedience was Our Lord’s thanksgiving. Our obedience as legionaries is to the Legion, the Church and the pastors and is our way to thank God. We actively give thanks through our obedience and our conduct. We feel restricted and as limited as Mary had to feel as she watched as her son died. We feel frustrated when we are not as productive as we would like to be. We can feel that we are losing momentum. There are limitations in our lives. However, when the Bread and Wine is transformed, it is the most marvelous sacrament this side of Heaven. At Mass, we take all lamentations and offer them up to God. When we challenge others to take their lamentations to God, we are having them join our prayers to the prayers of the Mass. We should link our lives to the Eucharist.

--

Provided online by: http://www.legionofmarytidewater.com/
