<p> RAFA Mid-Somerset Branch</p><p>Minutes of Business Meeting held at the Britannia Inn, Wells on Monday 5 Dec 2016. </p><p>The meeting opened at 1103 with the Dedication by the Rev. L. Morris.</p><p>Attendance. 24 present: P. Branson, G. Brown, Mrs C Browning, L. & Mrs D. Burden, David Charles (joining), B. Coleman, R. & Mrs S. Fling, J. Hawkins, H. & Mrs Leach, M. Leach, Mrs T. Long, Mrs C. Lynch, Graham Mackinlay (Frome Member), J. Monaghan, Rev L. Morris, N. Pettigrew, D. Savage, Mrs D. Schofield, F. Smith & daughter, Robin White and D. Whittingham,.</p><p>Matters Arising. David Medlock and Cyril Routledge were good speakers; Communion at BoB Service is inappropriate.</p><p>Apologies received from. 17. T. Ainsby, A. Baker, Mrs C. Breckon, Mrs E. Bridges, Fish, G. & Mrs Y. Hayward, T. Howse, P. Long, J. & Mrs A. Morey, B. Norman, D. Rogers, M. Webb, D. Willmott and P. Yusen.</p><p>Minutes. Minutes of the Business Meeting of 7 Nov 2016 read by Secretary and agreed.</p><p>Secretary. Branch Efficiency Competition and Entry Form; RAFA Concert Band NL.</p><p>Treasurer. Balances at 5 Dec 2016: Main C/A £5,617.91, D/A £1,000.00, Welfare C/A £1,249.38 and D/A £3,941.56.</p><p>Welfare. E. Bridges is in a wheelchair, the family is coming next week, G. & Mrs Y. Hayward are better; E. Heath very frail; Morrisons Christmas Lunch is only £6.</p><p>Vice-Chairman. Must be able to communicate with all Members of our Branch; 1955 and 914 Sqns are both good, 1182 Sqn has a change of leadership to Stephen Goodland; we collected a total of £3,305; Waitrose amount was £350; St John’s estate was £1,000; Tesco are offering collections from May to Jul; £4,655 to be rounded up to £5,000, agreed by all. Speakers. 5 Dec Robin White, Bands and Christmas favourites; film show in Jan; Matthew Tomlinson is OK.</p><p>Social. New PA System.</p><p>Chairman. Concert on 15 Dec; tickets are on sale at the Tourist Information Office in Street and at Millfield; Bucket Collection to Air Cadets Gliding Scholarship.</p><p>Cadets. 1182 welcomed Tom Miller, 29 Cadets, £8,500 for Minibus, given £200 towards this; 914 has 42 Cadets, governed by support staff Membership, letter from Steve Goodland thanking us for the support.</p><p>AOB. Bargain for sale of Christmas goods; Castle Cary is now a Detached Flight of 1330 Sqn, Yeovil.</p><p>Future meetings. 1100 on Mon 2 Jan 2017, Britannia Inn, Wells.</p><p>Raffle. £46.80.</p><p>Meeting closed at 1145.</p><p>Apologies for Jan from C.
