<p> Syllabus for Algebra I Coach Nanny</p><p>Material to be covered in Algebra I  Variables and Expressions  Linear equations and functions with graphs  Linear inequalities with graphs  Systems of equations and inequalities  Exponential Functions  Quadratic expressions, equations, and functions with graphs and transformations  Radical functions and expressions with Geometry  Rational functions and expressions  Probablility and Statistics Calculators  I will have available a TI 83plus / TI 84plus graphing calculator for use in class. If you have your own or are going to buy one, this calculator is recommended and is one that will be sufficient even into college.  You will need to bring 2 AAA batteries to use in our calculators / CPS units. This site contains the online copy of the e-book, presentations, games, animated examples and much more!  A calendar linked to class notes and assignments and other information can be found on by teacher webpage found through the high school website/staff directory at this address: http://www.argyleisd.com/apps/staff/ Tutorials  Tutorials will be in room 504 by appointment.  Available times will be from 7:50-8:20 Thursday & Friday Mornings Grading procedure  Major tests---50%  Daily Grades---50% Includes classwork, Homework, weighted quizzes, participation grades on reviews, etc. Test Retakes  Tests can be made up after the old test has been corrected.  Then the test can be retaken with 70 being the max grade given.
