<p> Elementary Picture Book Reading Bowl</p><p>The Douglas County Library Association is proud to sponsor the annual Kathy Brock Reading Bowl. The reading bowl will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Alexander High School. The bowl will be based on the Georgia Picture Book Award Nominees. Our picture book division team will consist of seven team members from the 3rd & 4th grades. These team members will rotate throughout the competition. Teams will participate in answering questions on the selected books. Participants must demonstrate appropriate school behavior and attendance and must have maintained satisfactory grades throughout the school year. Criteria for selection will include, but not be limited to: assessing how students perform on the Accelerated Reader tests for the Georgia Children Book Award nominees, how well students listen, and how well students work with others. </p><p>If your child is interested, in participating in this bowl, they must complete the attached application by Monday, November 12, 2012.
