<p>2016-17 CTSO Collaborative Project for Traffic Safety</p><p>The 2016-17 CTSO Collaborative Project to improve teen traffic safety in Wisconsin aligns with State and National CTSO programs and competitive projects, and includes funding for projects that are accepted. </p><p>Last year the CTSO Collaborative Project teams competed at their State CTSO conferences and qualified for the National conferences for their organizations with their projects. Our teams also shared their projects at traffic safety an injury prevention conferences in the Wisconsin Dells and in Long Beach, California. You can find out more about past projects on our website at www.crossroadsteendriving.org. </p><p>We hope that your school will consider a CTSO Collaborative project this year! </p><p>Goal The goal of the CTSO Collaborative Project is to improve teen traffic safety in Wisconsin through student- directed projects that focus on at least one of these risk areas: 1) Distracted Driving 2) Impaired Driving 3) Nighttime Driving 4) Peer Passengers 5) Seat Belt Use 6) Speeding. The project may also focus on Wisconsin's Graduated Driver License (GDL) law.</p><p>Proposals To be considered for a 2016-17 Collaborative Project, please submit a proposal using this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BSSLWZK. Proposals will be accepted throughout the 2016-17 school year.</p><p>Schools will be notified if their proposal is accepted 2-3 weeks after submission. Upon acceptance, schools will be asked to complete a project plan and budget with the help of Crossroads Teen Driving experts. Projects may be combined with other grants and competitive activities to maximize the impact. </p><p>Funding Funding will be offered based on the strength of the proposal, and awarded at the completion of activities to reimburse expenses. Funding from other sources such as community donations may be combined with these funds to enhance the project. </p><p>About us Crossroads Teen Driving is a program of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and State Farm and the Wisconsin’s Career and Technical Student Organizations. </p><p>For more information please contact us at [email protected]. </p>
