<p>PRESS RELEASE STUDENTS SEARCH FOR LOCAL ARTISTS FOR BRADFORD’S GOT TALENT FUNDRAISER 6th October 2014</p><p>Student society ‘Red Ribbon’ are calling on the best of West Yorkshire talent to take part in a Bradford’s Got Talent spectacular.</p><p>The show takes place at the University of Bradford’s Student Central building on Saturday 18 October and is open to members of the public as well as students.</p><p>Red Ribbon are a dedicated group of students whose aim is to raise money for HIV / AIDS charities through a range of exciting events, including this year’s ‘Bradford’s Got Talent’. The event, which will take place in the Student Central building on campus, will include a range of acts who will have to impress the judges and the crowd as they try to prove that they’re the most talented performance of the evening.</p><p>In preparation for the event the organisers are looking for talent in West Yorkshire, so whether you’re a singer, in a band, a magician, a dancer or a stand-up comedian there’s a space for you at the event, and any other skills or talents are welcome to appear to showcase their skills.</p><p>“Our aim is to get the entire city of Bradford involved in this event, as it creates an avenue for a closer and stronger relationship between the university and the city of Bradford,” says Yvonne Udeagha , Vice-President of Red Ribbon. “It also gives us a platform to further our cause as a society which is raising awareness of HIV/AIDs.”</p><p>Auditions for ‘Bradford’s Got Talent’ will take place on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th October in the Biko Room of Student Central, 5:30-7:00pm, on the University of Bradford main campus. A membership fee of £5 is required to audition.</p><p>About Red Ribbon Red Ribbon is one of the biggest societies at the University of Bradford Union of Students. Their aim is to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and raise money for their chosen charity ‘Avert’.
