The council also sent a letter to Terry Simcoe, Aviation Programs Manager requesting two wind socks.

BF Adams talked about what could happen if a fire broke out on the North side of Timberon and the roads to the Southside were flooded. We could not get out of Timberon if this were to happen. Bill Reader also advised a storm that comes in over Monument Canyon, with the wind gusting just right causes conditions where you cannot get out of Timberon. Jesse advised this happens 75% of the time. The road to Pinon needs to be paved and in time it would pay for itself. This would give Timberon an alternative evacuation route in case of an emergency. There is a 6563 Scenic ByWay Plan that includes a loop from Cloudcroft to Timberon to Pinon and back to Cloudcroft.

Everett read a thank you card from Carol & Bill Wassen concerning donations for the USS Thomas Gates families in the Katrina Hurricane.
