<p> Mail Merge Simplicity Search Data to Mailing Labels</p><p>Overview</p><p>In order to mail merge Simplicity search results into mailing labels you should start by performing the search in Simplicity. Once the search as been performed in Simplicity, the remaining steps are all done within Microsoft Word.</p><p>In Simplicity Choose the Search option from the Outlook Bar (on the left). Specify the Search Criteria. If you want to have a label for all clients in the database:  Set Search Group = All Groups  Select Mail Merge Families  In Search field set Client Status = Current or Active Click Search button. Click Mail Merge All button (which will open Microsoft Word).</p><p>In Microsoft Word Ignore the data that is inserted into the document by Simplicity. Using the Mail Merge toolbar in MS Word (if you hover your mouse pointer over the toolbar buttons a description of the button will be shown): Pre Word 2007  Click Main Document Setup button.  Choose Labels from the Document Type list.  Select the type of labels you are going to use and press OK.  A message will be displayed that asks if you want to delete the contents of the current document, click OK on this message (the document will now change to show the layout of the labels you have selected).  Click Insert Merge Fields button and select the NameAndAddress field, then click Insert, then click Close.  Click Propagate Labels button (each ‘label’ will now contain the NameAndAddress field). Word 2007  Click Start Mail Merge button and select Labels.  Select the label type from the list and Press OK.  A message will be displayed that asks if you want to delete the contents of the current document, click OK on this message (the document will now change to show the layout of the labels you have selected).  Click Insert Merge Field button and insert NameAndAddress.  Click Update Labels button.</p><p>The document is now ready to mail merge.</p><p>Pre Word 2007 You can preview the merged data using the View Merged Data button. To perform the actual mail merge use either the Merge to New Document button or print the mail merge to your labels using the Merge to Printer button.</p><p>Word 2007 You can preview the merged data using the Preview Results button. To perform the actual mail merge click Finish & Merge then use either the Edit Individual Documents option or print the mail merge using the Print Documents option.</p>
