<p>Dear Parent or Guardian:</p><p>I will be showing the film, The Big Short, on both May 12th and 13th after school for extra credit. The students have been studying about the 2000’s, and specifically, about the economic crisis of 2008. This movie covers the credit and housing bubble collapse in the mid-2000’s, and received the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. It was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Film Editing, and Best Supporting Actor (Christian Bale).
