GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS - 2016</p><p>(1) Scholarships are available to active members, including family members of the Board and staff, in good standing of the Legacy Savings and Credit Union for a period of one (1) year prior to application for a scholarship.</p><p>(2) Scholarships are available to members who have completed their Grade 12 within the 2 years preceding this application, and are entering a post secondary institution for the first time.</p><p>(3) Successful recipients of a Scholarship will be allowed a free choice in the selection of an accredited school of learning.</p><p>(4) Academic merit will be the first consideration in awarding scholarships.</p><p>(5) Documentary evidence of marks is to be provided by the applicants for Scholarships and must accompany applications for Scholarship.</p><p>(6) All applicants for Scholarships are to be in the hands of the Legacy Savings & Credit Union not later than August 17, 2017 without exception.</p><p>(7) Awards will be distributed by the Board of Trustees only after the successful recipient has been accepted at the Institution of his choice.</p><p>(8) Awards will apply to the term immediately following the award.</p><p>(9) Successful recipients of awards are not allowed to apply again.</p><p>(10) Applicants are required to submit a copy of an OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OF ACHIEVEMENT from ALBERTA EDUCATION.</p><p>(11) Scholarship applicants will have their names and photographs published in the “Legacy Savings & Credit Union“ newsletter and on the “Legacy Savings & Credit Union” website.</p><p>NOTE: Transcripts can be obtained from: Transcripts Unit Alberta Education 44 Capital Boulevard 10044 – 108 St. Edmonton, AB T5J 5E6</p>
