<p> Collectors Guidelines</p><p>Before your collection</p><p> Please fill out the resource order form to request your materials. Please only use collection tins and buckets provided by ActionAid, which are clearly labelled and properly sealed.  Ensure that you have the relevant permission to carry out your collection. Your authorisation badge only allows you to collect donations once you have gained permission from your local authority (for street collections) or the owner of the premises (for private property). Please contact our team for advice.  Please also read the collection guidelines you have been provided with by your local authority (where appropriate).</p><p>Your collection </p><p> You must only collect on the date, during the specified hours and in the location for which you have been given permission to do so and as stated on your permit/certificate of authority. Please note these will be sent to you once you have returned the event registration form.  Please remember to sign your authorisation badge and certificate of authority and to carry these at all times during your collection.  Collections cannot be made by any person under the age of 16 and any person under the age of 18 in London.  Please do not carry out house-to-house collections.  Please do not conduct your collection in such a manner as to cause, or be likely to cause, danger, obstruction, inconvenience or annoyance to any person.  Please be aware of your personal safety whilst collecting.</p><p>After your collection </p><p> As soon as possible after your collection has taken place, empty the contents of the collection tins and count the proceeds in front of a witness. Ideally, this should be someone other than a family member.  Pay your money into any bank (the money will reach us quicker if you use HSBC) using the Giro slip attached to the bottom of your payment form. If this is not possible, please send a cheque made payable to ‘ActionAid’ with your completed payment form to: ActionAid Collections, Freepost (BS4868), Chard, TA20 1BR.  If you have held a street collection, please fill out and return the Form of Statement (sent by your local authority) within the timeframe specified, outlining the amount you have raised through your collection.  Please return your collection tins in the sealed bag provided along with your authorisation badges, certificate of authority and tabards if appropriate. </p>
