<p> Welcome to Fifth Grade Writing Class!</p><p>Letter To Your Writing Teacher Assignment</p><p>Write a letter to Mrs. Uthe. This letter is your chance to introduce yourself to your teacher, and you can use it to your advantage by sharing information that can help your teacher be a better educator for you.  </p><p>Your letter must discuss the following (one paragraph per bullet):  Describe Yourself (age, favorites, hobbies, fears)  Describe Your Family (how many siblings do you have, who lives with you, do you have any pets, what is a typical day like where you live)  What is your favorite class? Why? Least Favorite class?  What should your teacher know about you to effectively teach you in class? </p><p>Letter Format  The letter must start with a greeting (Dear…)  The letter must end with a closing (Sincerely…)  You must write using complete sentences and make sure your sentences are grammatically correct. </p><p>Rubric (50 points) Letter is written in letter format and includes a greeting and closing. 10 points Letter contains one paragraph for each discussion point. 20 points Letter is written using complete sentences and is grammatically 10 points correct.
