<p> District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) Chowchilla Elementary School District District Office Boardroom </p><p>Minutes Wednesday, January 28, 2016 9:30 a.m.</p><p>Parents Present District Reps. Present Officers Present Stephens School: 0 Kristi Ariaz Fuller School: 0 Barbara Eckert Reagan School: 0 Sandra Frisby Fairmead School: 0 Melissa Esquivel Wilson School: 0 Terry Barnes Zachary White</p><p>I. Opening: The meeting began at 9:45 a.m. All who were present signed the sign-in sheet. (See sign-in sheet) II. Introductions: Those present acknowledged one another. Officers were not present. Calls were made to each officer to see if they would be able to be in attendance. III. Approval of DELAC Minutes: The minutes from November 18, 2015 meeting were distributed to be read individually by all who were present. Barbara Eckert made a motion to approve the minutes and Terry Barnes seconded the motion. The minutes were approved. </p><p>IV. New Business: EL Master Plan: revisions have been made to the master plan to include more EL items and information. </p><p>Goals & Objectives for EL students: regular meetings are to take place at school sites to discuss EL needs, and ongoing monitoring is to be completed by teachers based on data analysis prepared by the EL department. </p><p>Teacher/Aide Requirements: teachers and aides in the district remain highly qualified to work with students. </p><p>The LEA Plan and Addendum was discussed with and approved by parents. Ways to improve student performance remains a high priority.</p><p>V. Parent Questions/Concerns/Comments: There were no questions or concerns at this time. </p><p>VI. Next Meeting: The next meeting is tentatively set for March 16, 2016. </p><p>VII. Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m. </p>
