Lumley, Ph.D. Professor and Director of Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Department of Psychology Wayne State University</p><p>Mark A. Lumley is Professor in the Department of Psychology at Wayne State University, and Director of the doctoral program in clinical psychology. His research examines the interface of stress, emotion regulation, and physical health, and he develops and tests emotional exposure or processing interventions for people with chronic pain and other physical symptom disorders. He has published over 100 articles, has had several grants from the National Institutes of Health, is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Psychosomatic Research, and is on the editorial boards of five other journals. He has mentored 33 students to the Ph.D. over his 23-year tenure as a professor.</p><p>Objectives: At the completion of this CME activity participants should be able to:</p><p>1. Attendees will learn theory, research, and practice regarding expressive writing 2. Attendees will learn theory, research, and practice regarding emotional processing therapy for chronic pain 3.
