<p> EAPA Autumn School 2014</p><p>The Abbey is located in the center of Drongen (address: Drongenplein 26-27, B-9031 Drongen, Telephone: 0032 9 226 52 26, Fax: 0032 9 216 65 55) 5 kilometers from Ghent city center. Most of you coming by air will arrive at Brussels Airport, some in Charleroi. Best and cheapest way to get in Drongen (approx. 70 km from Brussels & 120 km from Charleroi) is by train. By train www.b-rail.be When arriving at Brussels Airport, just go to the lowest level (-1) since the railway station is below street level. In Charleroi Airport you can to take a line bus (approx. 20 min) to the railway station or a shuttle bus that travels between Charleroi Airport and Ghent Sint-Pieters railway station nine times a day from where you can take a line bus (line 14 and 15) to Drongenplein. See more at: http://www.visitgent.be/en/news-shuttle-bus-and-charleroi-airport You can buy your ticket to Drongen (approx. 25€ from Brussels - 40€ from Charleroi, back and forth) at a desk or in a machine. At a desk they can inform you on where to change trains since this depends on the connection. During the day, there are 3 to 4 trains an hour. You can check train schedules at http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/ - Click on National and use "Brussels Airport" or “Charleroi airport” and "Drongen" as search term. Warning: be aware of pick pockets in the larger train stations in Brussels, especially in Brussels-Midi (Brussel-Zuid). When you arrive at Drongen station take the tunnel underneath the rail towards Drongen village and walk about 7 minutes, the entrance of the garden is to the right of the church.</p><p>By car (GPS: 51°03'00'' N, 3°39'44'' O) • On the E40 Brussel-Oostende: exit 13 and follow the arrows 'Drongen'. You will pass an intersection where Drongen is indicated to the right. You ignore it until the roundabout (about 3 kilometers from the exit). Turn right towards "center" and follow to the end (300 meters). Turn right at 'Drongenplein' and follow 100 meters. Turn left into the garden through the gate of the abbey, after the World War I monument. • From other directions: R4 ring road around Ghent. You always follow the R4 direction GENT or EEKLO. Always stay on the R4, even though "Eeklo" is no longer called. Take exit DRONGEN (only indicated at the exit itself).</p><p>By Bus www.delijn.be • Line 14 and 15 from Gent Sint-Pieters railway station to Drongenplein; duration approximately 19 minutes, every 30 minutes. • Line 17 and 18: from Ghent city center (Korenmarkt) to Drongenplein: duration approximately 20 minutes, every 30 minutes.</p><p>Google map</p>
