<p> Math Name Tag Project</p><p>In this project, you will introduce yourself to the class by using a creative display of magazine cutouts, pictures, and drawings on a math symbol that represents who you are. You may take supplies from my supply closet or use your own.</p><p>Directions: 1. Take 2 pieces of different colored construction paper. Out of one piece of paper, cut the shape of a math symbol that most closely represents who you are. 2. The symbol should be placed on the other piece of construction paper for the background of your name tag. 3. You will decorate your math symbol with your name and other items cut from magazines, printed out, drawn, etc. that will help the class understand who you are. 4. You are to write on a large index card, a paragraph that includes all the math facts you can think of in your life. For example: number of family members, your age, address, telephone number, time you leave for school, bus number, shape of favorite food, etc. Complete sentences must be used, and you must have at least 5 sentences. 5. On the back of the index card, you are to write and solve three real number math problems using the math facts in your life. You should staple this to the bottom of the name tag. 6.
