<p>Parametric Modeling Creating Drawing Layouts</p><p>Creating Views: Download the drawing template Template-01.idw Open the file template-01.idw In the Drawing View panel select the Base View command. In the File section locate the parametric model file and place the base view onto the drawing paper. Select the Projected View in the Drawing Views panel command and add the desired views. Projected views can include orthographic projections and isometric projections. Select Create to proceed with creating the projected views. Reposition the views by using the four-arrow Move symbol. Views can be dragged to a new location to center them within the drawing area. Press and hold down the left mouse button to reposition the view to a new location. To add dimensions switch to the Drawing Annotation Panel. Select the General Dimension command and place dimension onto the view. Dimensions can be moved or repositioned using the grip point green dot associated with the dimension. To add center marks and centerlines select the Center Mark command in the Drawing Annotation Panel. Use the Center Mark option to place centerlines on circles and arcs and the Centerline Bisector to place a centerline representing an axis of symmetry. Text or notes can be added using the Text command in the Drawing Annotation Panel.</p><p>Drawing Display You can control how a view is displayed on a drawing. Right click on a view and select the Edit View option to get the Drawing Views window. In the Style section select the Hidden Line icon to display hidden lines, the Hidden line Removed icon to display view without hidden lines, or the Shaded icon to display a rendered view. To change the scale of the drawing views, enter a scale value in the Scale section of the Drawing View Panel.</p><p>Editing the Title Block To change an entry in the title block click on the (+) symbol next to (sheet:1) in the model browser. Click on the (+) symbol next to the (CCAC-INVENTOR A) title block. Double click on the (Field Text) option to open the “Edit Property Fields” dialog box. The “Edit Property Fields” dialog box will appear. Fill in the value for each of the prompts and click on the OK button to complete the editing.</p><p>Using standard sheet drawing templates Begin a new Standard.idw drawing Open the Sheet Formats in the Drawing Resources section of the Model Panel. Double click on the desired sheet size. To change the title block delete the existing title block. Open the Title Block section and double click on the desired title block (ANSI-Large or ANSI A). Insert the Base View. Add projected views including an isometric view Reposition the dimensions to conform to ANSI standards. Using the Drawing Annotation Panel add reference dimension and notations as needed to complete the dimensioned drawing Using the Drawing Annotation Panel add centerlines to all holes Edit the views to display hidden lines, without hidden lines, or Shaded. Add the assignment title and your name to the title block using the Text option in the Drawing Annotation Panel. Center the text using the centering justification option Save the finished drawing to your disk</p>
