Reports:

President Johnson: Last week Sen. Mckendry, SUFAC Chair Schwarz, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Brent Bilodeau, and Faye Skelton from the Budget Office took a wonderful trip to Oshkosh for the SUFAC summit. I had a great time learning about the recent F50 policy reviews that have started, and also view point neutrality. Very interesting debates came about and I think Ms. Schwarz represented the university quite well. I also brain stormed with some executives about future events. I finally have all the budget information so for this week I will be contacting committee members to sit down with me. Also this week John and I will be meeting with various administrators and I might be taking a tour of the children's center after learning more about its great facility last week. Also, I’m hopefully going to some different orgs to speak about WSG. Have a good week. [Hours Last Week: 16 hours]

Vice President Jensen: Hello WSG, I hope that you all had a good week last week. I spent last week putting together the budget for office supplies and whatnot, as well as helping Ms. Rogers with putting together the PR budget. I also spent a good amount of time assisting Mr. Speaker to ensure a smooth transition. This week I will be focusing on helping Ms. Jordan with the Involvement Fair. Like always, make sure you are reading over the WSG Constitution, WSG Standing Rules, and Robert's Rules of Order. Understanding all of these things really does help you to understand what is occurring in meetings and throughout the rest of the organization. I hope to see some creative legislation come through this body soon and once you receive your committee appointments I hope to see a lot of committee reports. Those reports really do help the executives keep up to date with some things that we don't hear about or see. With that, I hope that you all have a great week and I will see you in the office! [Hours Last Week: 10 hours]

Student Affairs—Ms. Jordan: Hey everyone hopes you all had a great weekend! This week is the INVOLVEMENT INITIATIVE WEEK :) I hope you all are as excited as I am. There will be a sign up sheet going around so you can sign up to work at the event on Wednesday. I need people to work from 11:30- 2, and it can count as your office hour or part of it depending on how long you serve for. Also, I will be sending a sheet around that you can sign if you plan on coming to Organization Recognition Celebration on Friday. It begins at 2:30 and ends around 5 (you do not have to stay the whole time, I would just like to have senators there to represent WSG). The second thing that is always on my mind and that Patrick Jamar and I are working on is the Teacher Voice project. If any senators are interested in being involved with this please contact Patrick or myself! Thanks, and have a fabulous week!!! [Hours Last Week: 13.25 hours]

Academic Affairs—Mr. Jamar: Hey guys, hope you all had a great weekend. This past week the Academic Affairs Internal Committee met for the first time this semester! We talked about the Teacher Voice Project and got a lot of good ideas down. If you want to be a part of this, we still need more senators to attend the meetings so let me know. They're going to be short meetings so they won't take up too much time if you decide to help out. Also, the provost will be out of town this week so I'll be meeting with her next week instead! If anyone has questions on the Teacher Voice Project or has things they think I should look into please let me know! Have a great week everyone!  Stay Golden [Hours Last Week: 13.25 hours]

Public Relations—Ms. Rogers: Hello everyone! I hope you had a fabulous week and weekend. This past week I worked a lot with Ms. Jordan on promoting the Spring Involvement Fair this Wednesday!! I am super excited and I hope all of you are able to attend; Ms. Jordan put an incredible amount of time and work into this and a lot of student organizations are going to be part of it. I also worked on implementing my PR ideas for this semester, including give-a-ways and movie previews. This week I will continue working on the senator and executive board member spotlight projects, and transferring the website with Mr. Jensen. Have a great rest of the week and I look forward to seeing you all at the Involvement Fair. YAHOO!  [Hours Last Week: 12 hours]

Individuals in need of accommodations should contact Jordan at [email protected] as soon as possible. University Services—Ms. McFarland: Hello everyone, this Tuesday I will be meeting with my committee to discuss the business fair and other minor projects. We will be discussing possible dates, the cost to participate along with other things. If you are interested in attending or if you have any ideas, you’re more than welcomed to come. The meeting will take place at 1:00pm in the WSG office. This week I will continue to look up contact information for businesses. If you know of any students who have their own business and would be interested in coming let me know, and I will send them an invitation. I have the dates for when the lawyer will be on campus and I will email the people on the police report. That’s all I have for now, any questions let me know. [Hours Last Week: 10 hours]

Legislative Affairs—Ms. Dantzler: Hey all, I hope your weekend was splendid! Nothing new going on besides the final planning for the event toward primary elections which takes place in April. The Legs. Affairs committee met today and discussed further ideas for a debate and soon we will present to you the final debate topic! Well that is all for now! Peace love and happiness. [Hours Last Week: 10 hours]

WSG Clerk—Ms. Selck: Happy Monday everyone! Last week, I had very important transition meetings and I learned more about my role in WSG. I also made you all placards which I know you are super excited about. This week I plan on doing more transitioning. I will also be attending the UC Board meeting on behalf of the Greeks (but I will be sure to represent WSG too). I hope you all have a great week and happy early Groundhog Day! [Hours Last Week: 17.5 hours]

Speaker – Sen. Holthaus: Hi everyone I hope everyone had a great weekend. I am currently in the process in planning the retreat. I am also putting together the leadership committee and I need at least four senators to join. This week I am in the process of reorganizing the office, so if you’re bored in the office feel free to assist. I just want to remind everyone that you are obligated to go to your committee meetings and give reports about that committee at the next available meeting. [Hours Last Week: At least 1 hour]

Individuals in need of accommodations should contact Jordan at [email protected] as soon as possible.
