Division 01 Section Quality Control: Procedures for submittals. 2. Shop Drawings: Indicate components, assembly, dimensions, weights and loadings, required clearances, and location and size of field connections. Include schematic layouts showing condensing units, cooling coils, refrigerant piping, and accessories required for complete system. 3. Product Data: Provide rated capacities, weights specialties and accessories, electrical nameplate data, and wiring diagrams. 4. Operation and Maintenance data.</p><p>0.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND PROTECTION</p><p>A. Comply with manufacturer's installation instructions for rigging, unloading, and transporting units.</p><p>B. Protect units on site from physical damage. Protect coils.</p><p>0.5 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS</p><p>A. Products Requiring Electrical Connection: Listed and classified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. as suitable for the purpose specified and indicated.</p><p>PART 2 - PRODUCTS</p><p>0.1 GENERAL</p><p>A. Units shall be manufactured in the USA.</p><p>B. R410A.</p><p>0.3 CONDENSING UNITS</p><p>A. Units: Self-contained, packaged, factory assembled and pre-wired [cooling] [heat pump] units suitable for outdoor use consisting of cabinet, compressors, outdoor coil and fans, integral sub- cooling coil, controls, liquid receiver, and screen guards with separate indoor ductless fan and coil.</p><p>B. Construction and Ratings: In accordance with ARI 210/240 and UL 207 and UL 303. Testing shall be in accordance with ASHRAE 14.</p><p>C. Performance Ratings: Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) and Coefficient of Performance (COP) not less than prescribed by ASHRAE 90A.</p><p>D. Casing:</p><p>1. House components in welded steel frame with galvanized steel panels with weather resistant, baked enamel finish. 2. Mount starters, and controls in weatherproof panel provided with full opening access doors. 3. Provide removable access doors or panels with quick fasteners.</p><p>E. Condenser Coils:</p><p>1. Coils: [Aluminum] [copper] fins mechanically bonded to seamless copper tubing. Provide sub-cooling circuits. Air test under water to 425 psig, and vacuum dehydrate. Seal with holding charge of refrigerant. 2. Coil Guard: Expanded metal, Louvered, or PVC coat steel wire.</p><p>F. Fans and Motors:</p><p>1. Direct driven propeller type condenser fans with fan guard on discharge. 2. Weatherproof motors suitable for outdoor use, single phase permanent split capacitor with built in thermal overload protection.</p><p>G. Compressors:</p><p>1. Compressor: Hermetic reciprocating or rotary type. 2. Mounting: Statically and dynamically balance rotating parts and mount on vibration isolators. 3. Motor: Constant speed 3600 rpm suction gas cooled with winding over temperature protection. 4. Crankcase Heater: Evaporates refrigerant returning to crankcase during shut down. Energize heater when compressor is not operating.</p><p>0.4 INDOOR DUCTLESS FANCOIL UNIT</p><p><Insert project name and location> <Insert Submittal Date> DUCTLESS SPLIT SYSTEM AIR CONDITIONERS 23 81 26 - 3 [SUBMITTAL INFORMATION]</p><p>A. [Four way discharge, ceiling recessed fan coil unit with condensate pump, [electric heating coil] outdoor air intake provision (to draw air from the adjacent ceiling space), and combination return air grille and adjustable supply air diffuser.]]</p><p>B. [Wall mounted fan coil unit with condensate pump, [electric heating coil] and adjustable supply air diffuser.]</p><p>C. [Horizontal ceiling surface mounted fan coil unit with condensate pump, [electric heating coil] and adjustable supply air diffuser.]</p><p>D. The condensate pump shall have a minimum shut-off head of 15 feet or a separate condensate pump with reservoir, float switch and check valve shall be furnished.</p><p>0.5 REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT</p><p>A. Provide each unit with one refrigerant circuit, factory supplied and piped.</p><p>B. For each refrigerant circuit, provide:</p><p>1. Filter dryer. 2. Thermal expansion device. 3. Insulated suction line. 4. Suction and liquid line service valves and gage ports. 5. Charging valve. 6. Compressor discharge service valve. 7. Condenser pressure relief device. 8. Precharged refrigerant piping.</p><p>0.6 CONTROLS</p><p>A. On outdoor unit, mount weatherproof steel control panel, containing power and control wiring, factory wired with single point power connection.</p><p>B. Provide compressor starter, control power transformer or terminal for controls power, and condenser fan starter relay.</p><p>C. Provide safety controls arranged so any one will shut down machine:</p><p>1. High discharge pressure switch. 2. Low suction pressure switch. 3. Phase loss, Phase reversal, low voltage and voltage spike protection, factory or field installed on three phase units.</p><p>D. Provide one of the following controls to permit operation down to 0 deg F ambient temperature:</p><p>1. Head pressure switch to cycle fan motors in response to refrigerant condensing pressure. 2. Solid state control to vary speed of one condenser fan motor in response to refrigerant condensing pressure. 3. Wall mounted, hard wired, programmable microprocessor controller with room sensors and self diagnostic feature. Provide locking cover.</p><p>PART 3 - EXECUTION</p><p>0.1 INSTALLATION</p><p>A. Install in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions.</p><p>B. Install seismic restraints per Division 23 Section VIBRATION AND SEISMIC CONTROLS FOR HVAC PIPING AND EQUIPMENT.</p><p>C. Complete structural, mechanical, and electrical connections in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions.</p><p>D. Provide connection to refrigeration piping system and evaporators. Comply with ASHRAE 15.</p><p>E. Furnish charge of refrigerant and oil.</p><p>F. Charge system with refrigerant and test entire system for leaks after completion of installation. Repair leaks, put system into operation, and test equipment performance.</p><p>G. Provide control wiring between indoor and outdoor units.</p><p>H.
