<p>Zonta Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk</p><p>By Johnna French</p><p>The Zonta Club of Laramie will host its 4th annual 5K run/walk event on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10th at the Laramie Lincoln Community Center. This race raises funds to support women and children in our community. Past proceeds from this race have benefited local community organizations such as CLIMB Wyoming, Downtown Clinic, Laramie Reproductive Services and Interfaith Good Samaritan just to name a few.</p><p>This year’s race will be held at the newly remodeled Laramie Lincoln Community Center and the race course will pass through a historic Westside Laramie neighborhood as it makes it way to the Southside greenbelt loop and back to the community center. Following the race the runners will be treated to a light breakfast of coffee, muffins baked by local Zonta club members and yogurt bar during the awards ceremony. Through fundraising efforts like this 5K, the Zonta Club of Laramie is able to make a difference at the local and international level advancing the status of women.</p>
