1. Open the Original Image

<p>Mandala 20 pts.</p><p>1. Open the original image. 2. Select Menu -> select "ALL" 3. Edit Menu -> select "COPY" Now you will have a copy of the image on your clipboard ... no, you can't see the clipboard ... you have to trust your computer. 4. File Menu -> select "NEW" You will now see a dialogue box that tells you the size of your original image. 5. Type in a title: mandala.jpg 6. Increase the size of the image by setting the width to twice the pixels, both width and height. 7. Click "OK". Now you should have a blank white window which is four times the size of the original image. 8. Edit Menu -> select "PASTE" Now you will have the original image smack in the middle of your white window. 9. Click on the MOVE TOOL and move the image to the upper left corner. If need be, play with the up-down, left-right arrows on your keyboard to ensure that your image is flush against the upper left corner. 10. Edit Menu -> select "PASTE" Now you will have one image at the upper left and a new one in the middle of the window. 11. Click on the MOVE TOOL and move the image to the upper right corner. Play with the up-down, left-right keyboard arrows until the two images are flush to each other. Now do you see why you doubled the width and height of the original? 12. Edit Menu -> select "TRANSFORM" -> select "FLIP HORIZONTAL" 13. Edit Menu -> select "PASTE" [which should give you a third image in the middle with the other two in the upper left and right corners. 14. Click on the MOVE TOOL and move the image to the lower left corner. 15. Edit Menu -> select "TRANSFORM" -> select "FLIP VERTICAL" 16. Edit Menu -> select "PASTE" [which should give you a fourth image in the middle with the other three in the corners. 17. Click on the MOVE TOOL and move the image to the lower right corner. 18. Edit Menu -> select "TRANSFORM" -> select "FLIP VERTICAL" 19. Edit Menu -> select "TRANSFORM" -> select "FLIP HORIZONTAL” 20. This is not yet a single image. It's composed of 4 layers. In the upper right hand corner of the layers window, you will see a small black triangle. Click on it and select "Flatten Image" and save as a jpeg image.</p>
