If cylinder is empty or punctured and has the valve removed: It may be placed in scrap metal bin.</p><p>Recordkeeping If non-hazardous (Cylinder punctured or valve removed): List on General Cargo Manifest as scrap metal If returning cylinder to vendor for refill or return: Complete entry as “Carbon Dioxide” in Hazardous Materials Section of the Fieldwood Energy Shipping Manifest, prior to transportation. Maintain a copy of manifest offshore and at shore base facilities while shipping papers are active. Send original manifest with shipment. Since Carbon Dioxide is not a waste, there is no need to maintain file.</p><p>Version 0, October 2013 Page 1 of 4 Waste Management Procedures</p><p>Shipping Instructions: CARBON DIOXIDE 1. a. Call or FAX Dock/Base to schedule shipment. b. Contact owner/vendor to schedule pick up of material. 2. Package Carbon Dioxide as follows: a. Ship Carbon Dioxide cylinders secured in a standing position only (Preferred method of transporting is the use of a bottle rack). b. Secure cylinder valve cap when applicable. c. The following are approved cylinders. For cylinders not marked with a service pressure, the service pressure is designated by DOT as follows: Specification Service Pressure (psig) at 70°F. 3, 1800 39 Non refillable Service pressure must be marked on cylinder. 3A, 3AA, 3AX Service pressure must be marked on cylinder. DOT-3A1800, DOT-3AA1800, DOT-3AX1800 3AAX, 3E, 3T, Service pressure must be marked on cylinder. DOT-3AAX1800, DOT-3E1800, DOT-3T1800 3HT, 3AL Service pressure must be marked on cylinder. DOT-3HT2000, DOT-3AL1800 3. Mark Package: a. “Carbon Dioxide, 2.2, UN 1013” b. Stencil Container -“Fieldwood Energy” and the generator’s location (i.e. Eugene Island 158)</p><p>4. Label Package: a. "Non-Flammable Gas" label near the marking in 3.a. (above). 5. Prepare shipping papers: a. Complete Hazardous Materials Section [Section I] of the Fieldwood Energy Shipping Manifest (See example).</p><p>6. Placard Vehicle/Vessel: a. For cargoes of more than 1000 pounds: "Non-Flammable Gas" Placard with UN number 1013 and the number "2" in the lower corner. b. For cargoes of 1000 pounds or less: No Placard required on transport vehicle. c.
