<p> PINEAPPLE RACING FD IDLER PULLEY INSTALLATION GUIDE The kit includes: FD idler bracket FD idler pulley assembly Pulley alignment spacer Belt (K050420) Stainless steel, M8 x 1.25 x 80mm BHCS, 1ea. Stainless steel, M8 acorn nut, 1ea. Cad plated M8 flange head nut, 1ea. (optional use) Stainless steel, M6 x 1.00 x 30mm BHCS, 1ea #1 Loosen the water pump pulley bolts, but do not remove. #2 Loosen the alternator and remove the belt. If you have power steering and/or A/C you will need to remove these belts also. #3 Remove the water pump pulley bolts and pulley. *If the pulley has been “glazed” from the previous belt slippage roughen the pulley. #4 Remove and discard the lower passenger side water pump nut, lock washer, washer. (M8 x 1.25, 12mm A.F.) #5 Remove and discard the water pump bolt immediately above #4. (M6 x 1.00, 10 A.F.) #6 Insure all mounting surfaces are clean. #7 Install the pulley assembly w/o the belt, using the supplied stainless steel fasteners. *Torque the M6 x 30mm bolt to 5-7ft. lb. *Torque the M8 acorn nut to 15-17ft. lb. #8 For stock water pump pulleys:Install the water pump pulley. Torque to 5-7ft. lb. *For Aftermarket water pump pulleys: Temporarily install the pulley and check for contact with the acorn nut. *If there is NO contact, torque the pulley fasteners to 5-7ft. lbs. *If there IS contact, either remove material from the bottom of the acorn nut or install the supplied M8 flange nut. Torque either fastener to 15-17ft. lbs. #9 Remove the temporarily installed pulley w/ spacer and M8 x 80 bolt. Apply Loctite or equivalent to the M8 x 80 bolt. Install the belt onto the pulley and reinstall. *Torque to 15-17ft. lbs. #10 Install the provide belt if you are using a stock water pump pulley. It may also work with some aftermarket pulleys that use the stock length belt. If not you will need to purchase the correct length belt. #11 Torque the water pump pulley to 5-7ft. lbs. if not done previously. Lightly tension the belt if necessary to help hold the pulley during tightening of the bolts. #12 Tighten the belt to factory specs. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! *The Pineapple Racing FD idler pulley kit provides the FULL belt wrap around the water pump so there is no need to over tighten the belt to prevent slippage. *OVER TIGHTENED BELT CAN DAMAGE: Engine bearings, water pump, alternator, or idler pulley damage! #13 Install any other belts removed earlier, to factory specs. #14 Run engine till normal operating temp. Recheck belt tension. *NOTE: It is best to check belt tension with the engine and components are fully warmed up so the expansion does not over tighten the belt.</p><p> ver. 1.01</p>
