The Civil War ended slavery, but not prejudice and discrimination. Prejudice and discrimination can be obstacles to understanding other cultures.</p><p>Standard(s): 6.1.4.D.2-3, 6.1.4.D.9, 6.1.4.D.15-16 ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS ENDURING UNDERSTANDINGS  Why were some people brought to America  Some people involuntarily immigrated to involuntarily?
