Quick Guide. </p><p> Where will you find postpartum hemorrhage drugs ( Hemabate®, Methergine® and Cytotec®)?</p><p> o Notify the OR nurse and she will get them from Pyxis</p><p> o Check and voice contraindications for Hemabate and Methylergonovine during time-out. </p><p> Where is the Intralipid®?</p><p> o In the bottom drawer of the epidural anesthesia cart.</p><p> o Check expiration dates.</p><p> Where are the Glidescope video laryngoscope and difficult airway box?</p><p> o We have 2 Glidescopes. One is in OR-1 and the other in OR-3. </p><p> o They must remained connected all the time.</p><p> Arterial line pressure transducer set-ups are where?</p><p> o In the OR-3 anesthesia cart.</p><p> Where will you find a Level 1 and its disposables?</p><p> o On top of the difficult airway cart in OR-3 behind the anesthesia machine.</p><p> o See attached instructional video to learn setup.</p><p> Where are IV fluids and blood tubing for additional IV starts?</p><p> o In the anesthesia cart in OR-3. </p><p> Where are your spinal and epidural trays and extra spinal needles?</p><p> o Spinal kits and epidural are in OR-3 by the anesthesia machine.</p><p> o Additional epidural needles and catheters and spinal needles are in the drawer of the accessory table between the anesthesia cart and the anesthesia machine in OR-3. They are also stocked in the workroom where the epidural cart is.</p><p> o The epidural cart has epidural trays in it.</p><p> o NEVER LEAVE UNATTENDED MEDICATIONS (This includes but is not limited to anesthesia cart in OR, anesthesia machine and epidural cart).</p><p> Where will you find Dantrolene and MH supplies? Version 1.0. September 2017 o MH cart is in OR first floor across OR-23 before equipment storage room.</p><p> o Dantrolene is in a refrigerator in PACU next to medication dispensing machine. </p><p> What is my responsibility for the epidural carts?</p><p> o Be sure that they are stocked appropriately. That includes local anesthetics, extra spinal needles, IV supplies, emergency airway equipment and drugs. Code is 5-3-1.</p><p> Where are fire extinguishers?</p><p> o Between OR 2 and 3.</p><p> Where do I find Ambu bags in the O.R. and in the Labor and Delivery Rooms (LDRs)?</p><p> o On the Anesthesia machines in the operating room and behind the bed in the LDR. </p><p> Where is the difficult airway cart?</p><p> o Behind anesthesia machine in OR-3.</p><p> Where is the Code cart and the Hemorrhage cart?</p><p> o Call the charge Nurse on each floor if you need it. </p><p> What is the protocol for managing a PPH called and what does it provide?</p><p> o The massive transfusion protocol for OB hemorrhage is activated by notifying the OR nurse who will call blood bank (extension 1-2731. </p><p> Where will I find a stethoscope?</p><p> o Hanging on the anesthesia machines in the ORs.</p><p>Sign Date</p>
