<p>The Canterbury Tales Geoffrey Chaucer Final Project</p><p>The purpose of the projects below is to provide you with a number of possibilities to climax our study of The Canterbury Tales. The flexible nature of the following assignments will allow you to showcase your artistic, dramatic, communications, and/or composition skills. </p><p>Read each of the following options carefully. Select the project you feel best fits your interests and skills set.</p><p>OPTION 1: GROUP Dramatize part of the Canterbury pilgrimage. You must include a narrator, acting as the author or host, reading the respective descriptions of selected characters “dressed for the parts”. Actors must adopt the mannerisms and peculiarities of the identified pilgrims. This option may be video taped or performed live in class. </p><p>OPTION 2: PAIR Simulate an in-depth interview featuring a famous television interviewer and one of the more vivid pilgrims (who may respond in a variety of voices). Interviewer should ask probing questions calculated to evoke the reality and individuality of the interviewed pilgrim. This option may be video taped or performed live in class. </p><p>OPTION 3: INDIVIDUAL Write a miniature prologue to a contemporary Canterbury Tales. Imitate the friendly, non-judgmental tone of Chaucer, the pilgrim and close companion, in portraying the emotions, responses, and personal conduct of your characters. You must include 5 pilgrims in your piece. You will share your piece with the class. </p><p>Once you have selected the project option you would like to pursue, I will distribute each respective rubric. Have fun with this project!
